General Rules

• Tournament follows standard FIDE chess rules
• Participants must be bonafide students of a registered college
• Valid college ID proof is mandatory
• Participants must arrive 15 minutes before scheduled match time
• Touch-move rule will be strictly enforced

Time Controls

• Rapid Format: 10 minutes per player with 5 seconds increment per move
• Bullet Format: 2 minutes per player with 1 second increment per move
• Time will start immediately when the game begins
• Players are responsible for pressing the clock after each move

Tournament Format

• Swiss system tournament format
• Number of rounds will be announced based on total participants
• Pairings will be announced before each round
• Winners determined by total points accumulated

Code of Conduct

• Maintain silence in the playing area
• Mobile phones must be switched off during games
• No outside assistance or use of chess engines
• Arbiter's decision is final and binding
• Unsporting behavior will result in disqualification

Equipment

• Chess boards and pieces will be provided by organizers
• Digital chess clocks will be used for all games
• Participants may bring their own notation sheets
